Parking At Hotels on Galveston Island
Several hotels in Galveston offer parking for cruise passengers. You will need to research each hotel carefully and inquire about their respective cruise parking options and if a shuttle service is available. Some options may be: Scottish Inn Ferry Road, Beachfront Palms, Harbor House Hotel, Home 2 Suites, Holiday Inn Resort on the Beach, The George Manor, Tremont House, Best Western, Inn at the Waterpark, Hilton Galveston Island Resort, Moody Gardens Hotel, Tru by Hilton, the San Luis Resort Hotel, Days Inn & Suites, Comfort Inn & Suites, etc. Keep in mind that you may have to wait for a shuttle to make several stops at other hotels before you get to the terminal, and some of the options are only available as a package combined with a hotel stay. Plan accordingly! Don’t make the mistake of not planning enough time to get to the port and missing your cruise or flight back home if using a shuttle service! Also, understand that these lots may not be monitored by security personnel or as physically secure as the cruise terminal parking lots. Some cruise passengers park at the hotel and use ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft to transport themselves to the cruise terminal. Make sure you reserve a ride well in advance because cruise departure/arrival days are VERY busy! Some cruise passengers end up having to wait a long time for a ride because they didn’t plan out their cruise transportation. Look into Airbnb, VRBO, and Bed and Breakfast lodging as well. Some may offer packages with parking and transportation services to the cruise terminals.
